KIDS SUPPORTING KIDS BATTLING CANCER - World Patients Alliance

The event  dubbed KIDS SUPPORTING KIDS BATTLING CANCER and the theme being" What Happens When My Sibling Has Cancer". Is aimed at educating kids on how to handle and  support their siblings from  diagnosis,on treatment and even after bereavement not to forget the challenging times they go through when their parents have to leave them home to be at the hospital with their sick brother and sister. Apart from Creating Awareness the event will also be a fundraising event to help us build a KIDS HAVEN ( A getaway/play center) for kids battling cancer and other life limiting illnesses and their care givers. The HAVEN will be a Home where we will provide
-Free accommodation and meals for kids and their caregivers seeking treatment and have no place to stay ( families from Kenya and East Africa).
-Psycho-social support for kids and their caregivers.
-Physical support i.e. physical activities
-Indoor and outdoor games.
-Getaway cottages for parents/caregivers who need a break to rejuvenate
