6th National Meeting for the Development of Cystic Fibrosis Associations - World Patients Alliance

WPA Member, Unidos Pela Vida conducted an event aimed to contribute to the development and professional strengthening of cystic fibrosis patient advocacy groups in Brazil so that, in a more professional way and working together, they could improve results that impact on improving the quality of life of people with the pathology in the country, as well as in the rare diseases ecosystem, considering that cystic fibrosis is one of the most common rare diseases and, therefore, needs to remain in constant discussion in the country’s health and political agendas. This closed event that took place on April 28, 2023, within the VIII Brazilian Interdisciplinary Congress on Cystic Fibrosis in person in Brasilia, also provided and facilitated the participation of the presidents of patient advocacy groups of cystic fibrosis in the Congress to learn and dialogue with professionals from Brazil and the world and establish important connections and synergies with CF specialists in Brazil.

It is a forum for dialogue between patients, doctors and other health professionals including the Government and family members.
