Epilepsy Assessment and Management Course 5.0 (online) - World Patients Alliance

The World Patients Alliance is delighted to announce that its member organization, the Epilepsy Warriors Foundation from Malawi, will be spearheading an Epilepsy Assessment and Management Course (EAMC) in collaboration with Pretola Global Health and Consulting. This comprehensive virtual course will be conducted via Zoom, and Malawi is set to establish an EAMC Centre in partnership with the Blantyre District office.

This initiative aims to train 45 clinicians, including those from Blantyre urban, semi-urban, and rural areas, in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of epilepsy in both children and adults. The curriculum will also encompass crucial topics such as sudden unexpected death in epilepsy and pediatric epilepsy.

This groundbreaking program seeks to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals, contributing to improved epilepsy care across various settings. The establishment of an EAMC Centre in collaboration with the Blantyre District office underscores the commitment to expanding access to quality epilepsy care and management in Malawi.
