Dementia Friends Session by Alzheimer’s Pakistan

The World Patients Alliance is proud to acknowledge and highlight the impactful Dementia Friends Session organized by Alzheimer’s Pakistan, one of our esteemed member organizations. The event took place on January 1, 2024, at the Professional Department of Management Sciences, National College of Business Administration and Economics (NCBA&E), Lahore.
Objective and Participation: The primary objective of the session was to raise awareness about dementia and educate students on how to become dementia friends. A total of 60 bright and compassionate students from the Management Sciences department actively participated in the session. This engagement exemplified the commitment of the younger generation towards understanding and addressing the challenges faced by individuals affected by dementia.
Key Highlights: The Dementia Friends Session featured a comprehensive educational program that covered various aspects of dementia, including its impact on individuals, families, and the community. The session aimed to dispel myths surrounding dementia, reduce stigma, and foster empathy among the participants.
Director Miss Saba Iram, representing the Management Sciences department, graced the occasion with her presence. Her support and encouragement added significant value to the event, demonstrating the commitment of educational institutions in fostering social responsibility and awareness.
