Dementia Friends Session by Alzheimer’s Pakistan - World Patients Alliance

WPA member organization Alzheimer’s Pakistan, on 20th Jul 2023, organized an awareness session at Government College of Science Lahore and briefed students of Mass Communication about Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, their implications and the services of Alzheimer’s Pakistan.

Dementia Friends aim to give people an understanding of Dementia and the small things they can do to make a difference. From helping someone to find the right bus, to spreading the word about Dementia on social media. The participants were issued Certificates of Participation at the end of the session for motivation to play their part as the youth of the country to improve their surroundings and quality of life for People with Dementia (PWD).

The session concluded on a positive note, with the hope of fostering a more understanding and compassionate society.
