Alzheimer’s Pakistan and PRCS Punjab Host Dementia Awareness Session for Psychology Students
24 May 2025 – Lahore, Pakistan
In a collaborative effort to promote mental health education, Alzheimer’s Pakistan and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab branch conducted an awareness session for psychology students at Punjab University.
The session, led by Ms. Maimoona Muhammad, focused on increasing understanding of dementia care, early signs, prevention strategies, and supportive approaches for caregivers. Participants explored the social and emotional dimensions of dementia, as well as the broader connection between mental health and community awareness.
The interactive format encouraged students to engage in meaningful discussion, share reflections, and consider the role of empathy in future caregiving and professional practice.
This session is part of Alzheimer’s Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to build a more informed and compassionate healthcare landscape through education and youth engagement.
