In collaboration with the Elsevier Foundation, the World Patients Alliance (WPA) has created a series of children’s books designed to raise awareness and educate young minds about patient safety.
This series of five beautifully illustrated books is now available online, offering children aged six to twelve from around the world engaging stories that teach fundamental patient safety principles. The books are currently available in English and Portuguese, with plans to offer them in additional languages to ensure a broader global reach.
The launch of this series marks a significant milestone in our mission to improve health literacy among younger generations. By introducing essential patient safety concepts in a child-friendly format, we aim to foster a culture of safer care for the future. These books, which are free to access online, serve as valuable educational tools for families and schools to spark important conversations about health and safety.
We encourage parents, educators, and healthcare professionals to explore these resources and join us in promoting a safer, healthier future for all.
