Alzheimer’s Pakistan Conducts Dementia Friends Training at Queen Mary College

Alzheimer’s Pakistan organized a Dementia Friends Training Program at Queen Mary College, Lahore, to mark an important step toward promoting greater understanding and compassionate care for individuals living with dementia.
Led by Maimoona Muhammed, the session offered an in-depth overview of dementia, including the early signs, risk factors, and practical strategies for prevention and caregiving. Students and faculty members actively participated in the training, which focused on building empathy, reducing stigma, and strengthening community-level support systems.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, followed by the distribution of certificates and printed informational materials to reinforce the learning experience.
Alzheimer’s Pakistan expressed special appreciation to Ms. Huma, who played a key role in coordinating the event and supporting efforts to build a dementia-friendly society in educational settings.
This session was part of the organization’s broader commitment to advancing public education and engagement around dementia across Pakistan.
