Alzheimer’s Pakistan Conducts Dementia Friends Training for Nursing Students

2 June 2025 – Lahore, Pakistan

Alzheimer’s Pakistan held a Dementia Friends Training Program at the New International College of Nursing and Health Sciences, aimed at building knowledge and awareness among future healthcare professionals.

Led by Ms. Maimoona Muhammed, the session focused on essential topics such as early signs of Alzheimer’s disease, risk factors, prevention strategies, and caregiving techniques. The training engaged students through open discussion and highlighted the importance of empathy and early intervention in dementia care.

An interactive Q&A allowed students to explore specific challenges related to dementia support, followed by the distribution of flyers and certificates to all participants.

Ms. Maimoona Muhammed extended her thanks to Principal Waqas and the faculty for their support in making the session possible and reinforcing the shared goal of building a more dementia-aware healthcare community.

This event is part of Alzheimer’s Pakistan’s broader initiative to equip the next generation of care providers with the knowledge and tools needed to support individuals and families affected by dementia.
