Nava Dristi Eye Hospital in Nepal Launches Patient Engagement Series to Strengthen Safety Culture

Itahari, Nepal | 25 April 2025 — Nava Dristi Eye Hospital held its first awareness session titled “Engaging Patients to Enhance Patient Safety”, bringing together staff from across the hospital to promote a culture of safety, patient rights, and shared responsibility in care delivery.

Led by Hospital Manager Mr. Rishi Ranjan Chaudhary, a healthcare professional with over seven years of experience in quality improvement and patient safety, the session offered participants insights into identifying potential errors, understanding patient rights and responsibilities, and building a transparent and accountable care environment.

Held at the hospital’s Conference Hall, the event was attended by approximately 30 staff members from various departments and units. The interactive discussions focused on practical strategies for patient-cantered care and aligning clinical practices with global patient safety standards.

This initiative marks the hospital’s first activity under the guidance of the World Patients Alliance, reaffirming its commitment to fostering a safer and more responsive health system through patient engagement.
