Begoña Barragán, MSEd, holds a Master’s degree in Pedagogy and has been a successful businesswoman since 1988.

After being diagnosed with malignant lymphoma in 2001, her personal experience led her to co-found AEAL, the Spanish Association of People with Lymphoma, Myeloma, and Leukemia, where she currently serves as President.

In 2010, together with several other cancer patient organizations, she founded the Spanish Group for Cancer Patients (GEPAC), the national umbrella organization representing all cancer patients and their families in Spain. Under her leadership, GEPAC has become a strong and respected voice for patients at both national and international levels.

She has previously served as a Board Member of the Spanish Patient Forum and the Lymphoma Coalition.
