Evangelos Filopoulos, a distinguished breast surgeon and a central figure in the field of cancer treatment, combines extensive medical experience with a strong leadership spirit. He has been involved with the Hellenic Cancer Society (H.C.S.) since 1986.

His rich career path includes specializing in surgery for six years in West Germany. He dedicated 33 years to the “Agios Savvas" Cancer Hospital, serving as the Director of the Breast Clinic and as a member of the Board of Directors for 10 years. Dr. Filopoulos also held the position of President of the Educational Committee of EKAB, where he was responsible for the training of ambulance crew members, and is the creator of the first autonomous Surgical Day Care Unit, which later evolved into the renowned “Nikos Kourkoulos" Day Care Center in Athens. He has worked as the Director of the Breast Clinic at the Athens Euroclinic. After many years of commitment to the HCS, he has served as its President since 2014.
