Lucie studied Archaeology and Journalism, as well as Prehistoric and Early Medieval Archaeology at Charles University in Prague.
She has been involved with the IBD Patients’ Association since September 2013. In the summer of 2016, she was elected to the board of the European patient organization EFCCA Youth Group in Brussels. In 2017, she became its leader, later a board member, and now represents patient interests internationally. Since January 2019, she has been a member of an international immunology advisory board in Boston, USA.
From 2020, Lucie served as the director of Neuron, the largest Czech foundation supporting science. In cooperation with the Vienna-based organization ECCO and a global team of surgeons, she co-develops patient guidelines focused on surgical solutions for inflammatory bowel diseases.
She is an active patient advocate, active clinical trial ambassador dedicated to raising awareness about clinical research, supporting mental health for patients, and promoting patient involvement in academic publications.
