

Dr Manjulaa Narasimhan is a Scientist in the Department of Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Child, Adolescent, Aging Health and Research at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, and an Honorary Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the Imperial College London.
Manjulaa leads WHO’s work on self-care and is the recipient of the WHO Director-General award for excellence in innovation for her work on self-care for health and well-being. With over three decades of experience, she has pioneered innovative, people-centered approaches in global policy, programmes, and research. She has also identified and managed strategic planning and oversight of health technologies; approaches to increase quality health coverage for people in all their diversity; and actively promoted meaningful community engagement. Manjulaa is deeply dedicated to promoting equitable, sustainable, and inclusive global health policies to create positive change.
