Campaign on Risks prevention for Patients Safety - World Patients Alliance

ASPA Cameroon visited hospitals to hold Campaign on risks prevention for patients’ safety.
Campaign volunteers visited three hospitals to talk with patients and Nurses on risks prevention for patients’ safety.

The World Health Organization has defined patient safety as “the absence of preventable harm to a patient during the process of healthcare and reduction of risk of unnecessary harm associated with healthcare to an acceptable minimum.”

During this campaign emphasis placed on patient safety competence.

ASPA Cameroon encouraged nurses’ confidence in the patient safety competencies along six domains, namely “working in teams with other health professionals, communicating effectively, managing safety risks, understanding human and environmental factors that influence patient safety, recognizing and responding to adverse events, and culture of safety.

We Assessed the patient safety competence among nurses and other healthcare workers.
