INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE OF THE RED CROSS (ICRC)
Ana Elisa Barbar is the adviser for the International Committee of the Red Cross’ Health Unit on the issue of violence against health care. She offers operational technical support to health operations of the ICRC, advocates with the global health community and develops policy work to address violence against healthcare within health systems. For 8 years, she has worked in Latin America and Africa with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and is currently based at the ICRC’s headquarters in Geneva. Ana is a licensed psychologist with a full residency in Primary Health Care, and a masters’ in International Negotiation and Policy-Making.
