Dr Bahati Moseti, FACEM, is an Emergency and Critical Care Physician with extensive experience in clinical practice, leadership, humanitarian medicine and health-system strengthening. He currently serves as the Global Emergency Room Specialist for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), supporting the development of emergency care systems in resource-constrained and conflict-affected settings. He was until recently an Emergency Consultant with Virtual Emergency Care Services at the Queensland Virtual Hospital and a Critical Care Consultant in Western Australia.

Dr Moseti obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Nairobi in 2000 before specialising in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care in Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM).

Throughout his career, he has held senior clinical and leadership positions, including Emergency Medicine Director at Peel Health Campus, Clinical Consultant at Geraldton Regional Hospital, and consultant with the Western Australia Emergency Telehealth Service, where he was among the founding clinicians. He also has extensive experience in domestic and international aeromedical retrievals, including complex medical evacuations with Medical Air Australia and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Moseti contributed to Kenya’s national emergency response as Emergency Department lead at The Nairobi Hospital. His work is driven by a commitment to improving timely access to safe, high-quality and patient-centred emergency care, particularly in rural, remote, resource-limited and humanitarian settings. His professional interests include emergency care system strengthening, telehealth, patient safety and ensuring that health systems respond effectively to the needs and dignity of patients.
