The National Organisation for People Living with Hepatitis B Supports Triple Elimination Conference in Africa 2025 to Advance Maternal and Newborn Health

The National Organisation for People Living with Hepatitis B organized its engagement for the Triple Elimination Conference in Africa (TECA) 2025 on 21 July 2025, supporting a continental convening focused on ending mother-to-child transmission of HIV, Hepatitis B, and syphilis.

TECA 2025 brings together governments, civil society, researchers, the private sector, and global health partners to share evidence, innovations, and implementation experiences that strengthen integrated maternal and child health services. Through technical sessions and policy dialogue, the conference advances integrated antenatal screening, treatment linkage, birth-dose vaccination, and sustainable health financing within national systems.

The conference reinforces that effective elimination requires both system readiness and community-informed delivery, ensuring women and newborns can access timely prevention and care across the full continuum of services.

With this engagement, the National Organisation for People Living with Hepatitis B continues to contribute to cross-sector collaboration and patient-informed solutions that improve maternal and newborn survival across Africa.
