WPA Joins Ride for Health in Poznań | World Patients Alliance

On 5 September 2026, the World Patients Alliance (WPA) was represented at the 6th Ride for Health, organized by the Carita Foundation in Poznań, Poland.

Despite rainy weather, the event brought together around 800 participants to promote health, physical activity and solidarity with patients. Participants joined either a 6 km or 20 km cycling route around Lake Malta while contributing voluntary donations to support the rehabilitation of hemato-oncological patients, helping them regain physical fitness, independence and an active life.

The event also featured a dedicated health village offering medical consultations, preventive screenings, bone density measurements, blood tests, spirometry, health quizzes and other public health activities.

The Carita Foundation, an active WPA member for the past three years, organized the initiative under the leadership of Łukasz Rokicki and Emilia Demczur, supported by volunteers, partners and members of the Foundation’s community.

WPA was pleased to take part in an initiative that combined health promotion, community engagement and practical support for patients.
