Latin Health Leaders has developed Responsible and Transformative AI for Patient Organizations, a pilot programme designed to help patient organizations in Latin America use artificial intelligence to strengthen advocacy, communication, data use and organizational capacity.

The programme comprises eight live, practical sessions with guidance and support. Twenty places are fully funded by Latin Health Leaders. Sessions are delivered in Spanish; the official programme page also lists simultaneous Portuguese interpretation and materials in both languages.

The programme is scheduled to begin on 15 October 2026. Applications were due by 30 September 2026. The initiative responds to the practical challenges patient organizations face in building technical capacity, turning patient experience into useful information and strengthening their contribution to decision-making.
