The South African Society of Stomates will host the SASS 2026 National Wound & Ostomy Care Conference on 2–3 October 2026 under the theme “Complex Wounds, Complex Patients: The Ostomy Challenge.”

The conference will bring together healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary teams, patient advocates, researchers, industry leaders and organizations working to advance wound and ostomy care across Africa and beyond.

The programme will explore wound and ostomy management, rehabilitation, nutrition, psychosocial support, patient-centred care, digital health solutions and healthcare system strengthening. Delegates will participate in expert presentations, practical discussions, networking and shared learning.
