Blood-drive by Children’s Cancer Center Lebanon 15 Jun 2023 - World Patients Alliance

WPA member organization Children’s Cancer Center Lebanon in partnership with AUBMC’s blood bank and NDU’s Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences organized a blood drive to mark World Blood Donor Day. This event was organized at NDU Campus, Lebanon on the 15th of June from 9:30 am – 2 pm.

AUBMC’s blood bank helped in the provision of 4 purpose-built donor-couches to cater maximum number of donors willing to donate blood. Various stations were set-up to keep the process-flow smooth and disciplined.

CCCL registered 70 volunteers for blood donation out of which 38 successfully donated blood. This event was also supported and accompanied by 2 CCCL’s survivors. A total of 38 units of blood were collected. Each unit of blood is sufficient to save 3 lives thus blood support for 114 persons was achieved.
