Human Papillomavirus: Epidemiology and Life Cycle | World Patients Alliance

The Peruvian League Against Cancer, Cajamarca Branch, organised an educational session on the epidemiology and life cycle of human papillomavirus (HPV).

The session examined the scale of HPV infection globally, nationally in Peru and locally in Cajamarca. It also explored recent scientific understanding of the HPV life cycle and how the virus interacts with human cells.

Participants reflected on public policies that could strengthen HPV prevention and control in Peru and Cajamarca, with particular attention to local socioeconomic challenges. By connecting scientific knowledge with public health and policy dialogue, the event promoted greater awareness and locally relevant action on HPV.
