UNIDOS Strengthens Healthcare Professional Skills Through Online Hematology Course | World Patients Alliance

UNIDOS, Asociación Pro Trasplante de Médula Ósea “Francisco Casares Cortina”, A.C., delivered the Spanish-language online course “Fundamentals of Hematology for Healthcare Professionals” on 29 June 2026.

The continuing medical education course was designed for primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals. It focused on preventing diagnostic delays, recognizing possible hematologic disorders early and supporting appropriate referral to specialized services.

Participants updated their knowledge of warning signs and symptoms, initial laboratory findings, clinical suspicion criteria and referral pathways to secondary care. The course used evidence-based educational content to strengthen clinical decision-making and coordination across different levels of the healthcare system.

Through this initiative, UNIDOS supported the professional capacity needed to facilitate earlier diagnosis, timely access to hematology services and high-quality care for people living with hematologic conditions.
