Member organization: International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH)
Date: 13 October 2026
Location: Global
World Thrombosis Day, the global campaign led by the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), marked its annual observance on 13 October 2026 to strengthen awareness of thrombosis, including deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
The campaign promotes recognition of blood clot risks, signs and symptoms, and encourages informed conversations about prevention and timely care. Its 2026 resources also highlight how blood clot risk changes across a woman’s life.
Patient organizations and other supporters can continue to share campaign resources, patient stories and educational materials through websites, newsletters and social media. Free resources remain available on the World Thrombosis Day website.
