Anil has over 25 years of experience in the international development sector as a development practitioner, grantmaker, and trustee. Anil established Carers Worldwide in 2012, drawing on his extensive professional and personal experience, and continues to fuel his passion to transform the lives of unpaid family carers and young carers in low and middle-income countries.
Anil serves as the Founder and Executive Director of Carers Worldwide, an organisation that works across India, Nepal, and Bangladesh to bring about systemic change for young and adult family carers. It is the only international NGO exclusively and strategically addressing the social, physical, mental, and economic well-being of carers of chronically ill, elderly, and disabled loved ones, so far it has transformed the lives of more than 200,000 carers and their family members. More details can be found at www.carersworldwide.org

Anil is dedicated to increasing the visibility of carers globally, influencing policy and best practices to achieve widespread and sustained change in the lives of these carers. His ultimate goal is to see their rights enshrined in national legislation on a global scale, with a thriving carers’ movement at the heart of civil society in each country.
