“This is the momentum we need to drive the adoption of a WHO Resolution on Self-Care and achieve health for all,” stated Mary Denisse Munive Angermüller during her address, echoing the sentiments of many attendees.
The panel discussions at the Summit were particularly enlightening, with speakers advocating for the integration of self-care “from cradle-to-grave” across the life course. They stressed that self-care often serves as the first and sometimes only line of action for many individuals, making it essential to enhance accessibility through supportive policies and improved health literacy.
The event moderator, Ana Carcani Rold, concluded the discussions by sharing her personal takeaway, “Today I’ve learnt that good self-care really is practicing healthcare.”
